Alchemy

The study of Alchemy has been thought by some to be linked to the Grail Mysteries.  Some have put forth the hypothesis that the Grail is actually the famed Philosopher’s Stone.  Remember the Alchemists goal of transmuting lead to gold was only a metaphor for finding the base element God used to create the universe.  While this might not be your particular thought on the Grail, Alchemy and those who studied it, certainly touch on many lines tangent to the Grail.
