Grail Romances ![]() The backbone of any thoughts on the Holy Grail begins with the Grail Romances. The works of Malory, de Boron, de Troye, all framed the Grail legend in their own way. As similar as some of these works are in theme and story line, one thing that is seldom addressed is the exact nature of the Grail. These medieval authors have left us with an enduring mystery. Most Grail research eventually leads back to these sources. As well it should. The stories they put on paper might very well have been oral traditions of the Grail and their study therefore hopefully should give some clue as to the Grail’s true nature. |
